He began his career working up through the camera department as a 2nd AC, to focus puller and then camera operator, spending nearly a decade developing a deep technical foundation before moving into cinematography. During this time he worked on major international productions including Alien: Covenant and The Substance.
With a background in documentary photography, having been exhibited internationally, Farley brings a grounded, observant sensibility to his work. His images draw from documentary traditions while operating within high-end commercial and narrative frameworks, creating work that feels both cinematic and truthful.
